Guidelines for Authors

The editors of Psychodynamic Psychotherapy in Poland accept original articles in the field of psychotherapy, including empirical, theoretical, methodological and reviews, as well as case reports and book reviews, comments and polemics tailored to the journal's profile. Our journal publishes texts in Polish, as well as translations from other languages.

The process of submitting the application and preparing the text for printing is carried out electronically. Please send your articles to the following address: journal@ptppd.pl

The submitted articles are initially assessed by the Editorial Office and then sent to two independent reviewers in accordance with the double-blind review process.

By submitting materials to the Editorial Office, the authors declare that the work has not been published anywhere.

The submitted texts should meet the following requirements:

The article should not exceed 1 publishing sheet (40,000 characters including spaces), including footnotes, cited literature, tables, figures and attachments. The editorial office may depart from this rule in justified cases. Reviews, comments and polemics should not exceed 10,000 characters, including spaces.

Texts should be written in MS Word, font 12 points. with double line spacing. The pages of the text should be numbered and provided with a header containing the title or its key content.

The keywords (max. 5 words) should be included in a separate file, followed by the names and affiliations of the Authors, possibly their positions and place of work, as well as the e-mail address for correspondence.

We adopt the principles of text formatting commonly accepted in Polish psychological literature, as defined in the guidelines of the current edition of the American Psychological Association Manual.
References to literature in the text should first include the name of the author (s), the year of publication, and pages in the case of quotations, such as (Grunberger, Chasseguet-Smirgel, 1986, p. 127). In references, we use the chronological order of the cited publications. In the case of more than 3 authors of a given bibliographic item, we use the notation limited to the first author's name, e.g. (Caligor et al., 2007).
The bibliography cited in the text should follow one pattern.
Individual items should be listed in alphabetical order at the end of the text, according to the following formulas:

The cited bibliography must be complete and conform to the template. Otherwise, the submitted materials will be returned for completion.
